Using the essence of water, shadow, light, senses, a corner station assist on exhibite the bueaty of Qin Huai River, using underground space to connect with water, react to light, accompany with shadow, create new sense of feeling, the design works with above ground space, generates new docking wharf, creates new sustainable amenity using new type of water-ground surface-underground complex urban space .
The corner station is a corner of Qin Huai River, also a corner of Nanjing City, it is a tiny pocket urban space to create very special environment.

Existing urban context, Qin Huai River juxtapositions with rectangular surrounding buildings and subject site, very rigid and disciplined, similar to suit of armor from ancient worriers. Explore the essence of light and water, reflection versus solid, different substances however somewhat related. Just like lifting a corner of a garment or armor, why not lift up a corner and see what is inside? New area explored, fresh feelings and sense of emotion. Connected spaces, interaction of light and shadow, underground connect to water, a corner station. Work with above ground space, generate new docking wharf, create new type of water-ground surface-underground complex urban amenity.
